Love, love, love these kiddos.  And their awesome parents.  When I have a session with them, it’s more like hanging out and catching up with friends than it is “working”.  So fun to have that kind of connection and relationship with clients.  And, it’s been amazing to watch their family bloom and grow right in front of my camera!  Crazy to think I started shooting “them” when there were only 3!  Now, there are FIVE and the littlest member of the R family just celebrated her 1st birthday.  We had a great morning last week in Plano and, while we did end up with chigger bites (sorry about that), they were worth it.  ;)

Enjoy your peek!

Sorry, ladies.  This little man is already spoken for…by his Mama.  And big sister.  And aunts and grandmas.  Oh, and by my little Merr Bear, who is one of Anderson’s playmates at school.  This little guy is so precious!  Love his fuzzy hair, deep brown eyes, and that gummy little grin.  Enjoy your sneak peek.  :)

Ok, maybe not ME.  But, my HOUSE!  Yes, friends.  The Clarks are moving.  And not just moving, moving.  We are MOVING.  Like 3 hours south, back to our hometown (ok, my hometown, Rob’s college town)–College Station.  Rob has actually already been there since November 1 and I’ve been here with our girls as we finish out the school year.  Thankfully, he comes home on the weekends to give me a little relief!  While we’re sad to leave Dallas and the city we’ve called home for the last 12 years, we’re crazy excited about being close to our family and friends again.  And, almost even MORE excited about submerging our girls in all things “Aggie” for their childhood!  Yes, we start them early in Aggieland!  :D

Now, before my Dallas clients panic, I’ll still be coming up here for sessions.  I haven’t figured out the logistics of that just yet, but I’m thinking once every other month with a little less frequency when it’s unbearably hot out and a little more frequent during the holiday season.  I’ll be sure to post my schedule RIGHT HERE, so keep reading the blog!  The good news is that I’ll also be shooting in B/CS!  So, KCP is expanding!

Ok, on to my real reason for posting.  Our house is on the market.  Great location in a neighborhood that’s experiencing a “revitalization” (Alamo Drafthouse just announced they were starting construction on a new theater in the shopping center just down the street!).  Close to just about everything in the metroplex!  It’s a beauty too.  Lots of natural light (uh, hello–I’m a photographer!), hardwoods, updated with lots of original charm too, a POOL, and tons more.  HUGE closet in the living room acts as a walk in attic.  Bay window has a storage seat too!  It’s listed at nearly $20,000 under the appraisal we had done in 2009.  And that appraisal was done before we landscaped the front yard.  Seriously, we are sad to leave this home.  But, alas, we have to.  And, we’re motivated to sell before summer too!  So, if you know someone looking for  a great home in a great location with great schools and parks within walking distance, PLEASE send them our way!  (Umm, pool.  It’s currently 91 degrees at almost 7 pm on May 5.  That means we’ll be in the triple digits SOON.  We went swimming yesterday AND today.  It was awesome.)

Another one of my baby planners turned one recently!  Happy birthday, sweet boy.  This little guy doesn’t stop for anything.  Well, except dogs, toy alligators, lawnmowers, and an occasional cuddle from Mama.  Such a cutie pie!  We had a great time running around Flippen Park last weekend.  Enjoy your sneak peek!

First of all, I apologize for the lack of blog posts!  Eek.  Once again, life has gotten BUSY.  How does that always happen?  ;)   Seriously–between my 2 girls, our house on the market, hanging out with adorable clients, and editing, who has time for the other stuff (like sleep).  Oh well.  That’s how we roll around here–literally.  That being said, I am now officially booked until mid June.  I like to give a lot more personal attention to my clients than I’ve been able to lately, so I will only be taking a limited number of sessions this summer too.  Be sure to contact me as soon as possible if you’d like a session in June, July, or August.

Ok, on to the goods!  How sweet is this little guy?!?  He was seriously an angel and let me squish him up and move him around without a peep.  Mom and Dad have been so patient waiting for this sneak peek, so without further ado…

Help this family earn a special treat!  15 comments earns them a complimentary 5X7.  Happy commenting.  :)

Yall!  This was a FUN wedding.  Let me tell ya–these people know how to have a good time.  And, I was only there until 8!  Delia and Jon had me laughing til I nearly cried.  They were so nice and down to earth.  And so in love.  It was a really sweet, country wedding.

The venue was perfect for their personalities–Dallas Heritage Museum.  They love jeans, boots, and country everything, so the old buildings and railroad were right up their alley.  Plus, this spot made for some great wedding shots.

I loved working with yall.  Enjoy your sneak peek!

PS How awesome is that groom’s cake?!?  Whoop!  Gig’em Aggies!  :)

This is one of my baby plan graduates.  It’s so fun to see how much these little bitty babies grow in just a little over a year!  This sweet girl is talking, running everywhere, and we had a blast chasing her around the Fort Worth Botanic Gardens last weekend.  Enjoy your sneak peak, D family.  :)

I had the pleasure of shooting this small, intimate wedding ceremony in Melissa, Texas last week.  The bride was wanting a vintage wedding with a modern flair.  She left no detail overlooked and even handmade 99% of everything!  Love a crafty bride (wish I was one–I blame pinterest for that one)!  The venue was perfect for what she was wanting, as was the weather.  Hello 80 degrees!  It was a gorgeous day for 2 very happy people.  Congrats, Cindy and Zach!

Venue:  The Bird’s Nest

Decorations including the book covers, flowers, and cake topper were all done by the BRIDE!

This couple wanted to do some fun stylized photos after their ceremony.  So, we planned a fun little picnic out back, the bride made some adorable props again, and even did some silly posing, channeling Grant Wood’s American Gothic.  Love couples who think outside the box and want to have fun.

Congratulations to Mr. and Mrs. Shipman!  Good luck on your big move coming up.  And, a special thanks to Zach, who is currently serving our country in the Navy.

After a short little “winter break”, I’m back to doing what I love to do–capturing sweet memories for your precious family.  Mom contacted me in the fall and unfortunately, I didn’t have any openings.  But, we exchanged emails again shortly after the new year and made a date for me to come hang out with her darling family of 4.  I had such a great time with this bunch!  We talked legos, played catch, went on a little nature walk, and even ALMOST took a dip in their pool (I was close to falling in, but caught myself…such a clumsy photog I am).

Enjoy your sneak peeks!  Your gallery will be ready next week.  (And, see?  Nothing to be worried about!  All those “warnings” for nothing! :D )
